100 days of coalition government complete, uncertainty remains

Pakistan Muslim League-N and coalition parties have completed 100 days of government, but the shadows of uncertainty are still present from the first day. This is the reason why after Shahbaz Sharif took over the prime ministership, the stock exchange has seen a bearish trend and the value of the rupee against the dollar has been continuously decreasing.

The coalition government's biggest achievement in 100 days so far is the deal with the IMF. The deal was expected to have some positive impact on the economy, but after the ruling party's defeat in the Punjab by-elections, there has been renewed uncertainty in business circles.

Comparison of first 100 days of coalition government and PTI government

The coalition government of Shahbaz Sharif was faced with the challenge of weakening economy as soon as it assumed power. If we look at the same challenge, the biggest success of the current government is being called the deal with the IMF.

Apart from this, the current government started Metro Bus Extension to Islamabad Airport and Blue and Green Bus Service in Islamabad.

Considering the increase in the rate of inflation, the current government also announced to give two thousand rupees per month to low-income people in 100 days.

The Shahbaz Sharif government launched an austerity campaign in which cuts were made in the petrol allowance of ministers and cabinet members.

The current government passed important legislation in its first 100 days, including amendments to NAB rules, repealing the Electronic Voting Machine Act and removing the right to i-vote for overseas Pakistanis.

Unlike the current government, the Tehreek-e-Insaf government focused more on policy making in the first 100 days of its tenure.

Former Prime Minister Imran Khan launched the Prime Minister Citizen Portal in the first 100 days under which citizens' complaints were directly forwarded to the Prime Minister's Office. This project of the previous government has been a notable and popular project of the three and a half years of power.

The prime minister, who came with the slogan of accountability, had founded the East Recovery Unit, but with the passage of time, this unit could not show any adequate performance.

In the first 100 days, former Prime Minister Imran Khan announced an austerity campaign and announced the auctioning of luxury vehicles and cows and buffaloes of the Prime Minister's Office.

This campaign could not be sustained.

In the first 100 days of the Tehreek-e-Insaf government, the Parliament remained inactive and due to the lack of agreement between the government and the opposition on the parliamentary committees, the parliamentary committees could not start proceedings. Mainly, the chairmanship of the Public Accounts Committee was creating a dispute between the government and the opposition.

What do political analysts say?

According to political analyst Rasool Bakhsh Rais, the current government's no-confidence movement has seen no success except success. "The value of the rupee is falling, the shortfall of electricity is increasing, the rate of inflation is increasing worst."

He said that the only success of the present government is to destroy the evidence of the cases against them, NAB has amended the law, everything is for their own interest, they have not done anything for the country. Now, the more they can spoil the cases against them, the more they can do.''

According to Rasool Bakhsh Rais, the worst thing that happened was that he destabilized a functioning government and changed the government on the strength of his money. The second reason is that at the moment there is no one in the government who understands the country's problems, especially the economic problems.

According to senior journalist and analyst Sohail Waraich, 'The first 100 days of Tehreek-e-Insaaf was a honeymoon period while the current government is facing extreme difficulties and having to take difficult decisions.'

He said that the current government has struck a deal with the IMF, which is a breakthrough. The governance is relatively better than the previous government but there is no comparison yet as both the governments have not done anything remarkable in 100 days. Imran Khan's government did not face so many economic problems.

According to Sohail Waraich, the current government has no problems from the 8 sides of the allies. The challenge in the present era is the economy and the former government is facing difficulties in getting out of the tunnels that were laid at that time.

According to analyst Rasool Bux Rais, the failure of the current government is due to challenges as well as lack of capacity. Political stability is essential for the development of the country. They ended the political stability themselves, how will it work if they cut the tree they are sitting on. One is fighting a political battle for his survival and the other is fighting to defeat Imran Khan and in this he has caused serious damage to the country.

He said that it was not lack of trust but instability, what was done to them has caused enormous damage to the country. This government is not capable of doing anything. For three or four weeks, the cabinet was not being formed because the monkey was divided.
